About
Hi, I’m Chris Sloan, and for the past 30 years, it has been my goal to create seamless, pleasant transactions for my real estate clients. My aim is to ensure that they are the most well-informed, the most well-represented, and the most pleased with the outcome of any buyers or sellers in Tooele County.
One of the best things about my work is having the opportunity to meet a variety of people and to turn our business relationships into lasting friendships. It’s gratifying to me that many of my clients come to me again and again over the years and that they send their friends – and now their children!
I love working with repeat clients who are now moving up, and I get great satisfaction from helping first time buyers attain their dreams of home ownership. I also thrive on the opportunity to sell out of town buyers on the quality of life they’ll enjoy when they choose to settle in Tooele County. I’ve been in love with it ever since I arrived here over 30 years ago to manage a 200+ home New Construction Project.
For me, doing the best possible job for buyers and sellers is rooted in attitude, skill, and knowledge.
Attitude is easy – since I want each of my clients to attain their goals and be satisfied throughout the process, I listen intently to understand their needs, make myself readily available to them, keep them informed, and keep watch over every step of their transactions.
To keep my skills sharp and to stay current with changes in laws, the latest technology and marketing tools, and the new challenges facing real estate clients, I attend at least 30 hours of continuing education each year. This is more than 3 times the hours required for license renewal. I’ve also earned the Short Sale Specialist Designation, the Certified Sales Professional Designation, C2EX®, AHWD, e-PRO & Seller Representative Specialist designations as well as being licensed as a Principal Broker.
And of course, I keep a close watch on market trends and new developments throughout the county. While I enjoy handling resale homes, I also have extensive experience in new home construction, both from the builders’ and the buyers’ sides.
Is that enough? No, not for me. I think it’s important to really know my community and my fellow citizens, so I am heavily involved in everything from economic development to education.
My community involvement includes:
Vice Chair Tooele City Planning and Zoning Commission
Ambassador and past Chair: Tooele County Chamber of Commerce
Past member Board of Trustees Utah Transit Authority representing Tooele & Box Elder Counties
Board member: Tooele Education Foundation
Past President: Tooele County Board of Realtors
Past President and current board member: Utah Association of Realtors
Board member & National Committee Chair National Association of Realtors
Past Chair: Tooele County Republican Party
Board member: Wasatch Front Regional Council Economic Development Committee.
In addition, for the past 20 consecutive years, acting in various capacities with the State and National REALTOR® organizations, I have traveled to Washington D.C. in my quest to promote and preserve private property rights. I’ve been there as Chair of the Legislative Committee, Utah State President, National Board member, and REALTOR® Liaison with Congressman Stewart.
When not serving clients, I enjoy attending and driving at events at the Utah Motorsports Campus (formerly Miller MotorSports Park), watching just about any kind of motor racing, or riding, driving, and maintaining/detailing our own cars and motorcycles. You could say I’m obsessed with motor vehicles.
I also enjoy joining my wife Berna in spending one day each week with our grand-kids. We raised our six children here in Tooele County and now are privileged to have 12 grandchildren!
Whether you’re new to Tooele County, new to home ownership, or a long-time resident yearning for a change of residence, get in touch. I’ll do all in my power to see that your real estate dreams and goals become reality.
